As one of your readers (and a Mom type person), I say: take a break from writing the newsletters. I have suspended my own newsletter for a Long Vacation. I don't want to be an item on the to-do list. Take a break, we won't mind.
I appreciate you saying this. I was considering it last night, for sure. Writing this piece actually helped me quite a bit. I don’t think I’ll look back at it and think of it as my best writing ever, but I’m still glad I put it out there.
Lyle, I'm glad you didn't second-guess yourself and went for writing and sharing how things have been and are going.
It's been a privilege to be granted a window in your life and days. This is your space, and I feel fortunate for being able to read your words. I'm glad that you did it and that you confided in us that it helped you feel a little better already, that's gratifying. If it helps you, then please do write and rant when you decide it's right, otherwise please do what you know and feel will help you, including rest.
I hope you're able to get a breather, and that clarity through the tunnel will be better.
Lyle, Although I don't know what you are currently going through, thank you for baring your heart. I'm glad in the end it helped you. It reminds us all that life is a journey with ups and downs but I also believe all things happen for a reason.
Successful writing is that which serves you. Please don't beat yourself up if it doesn't right now. Come back to it when you think it will. I hope today is better.

Yo! Two cents from your old buddy Jarrod: you’re allowed to give yourself permission to skip a week (or month or year). No one will judge you negatively and you can forgive yourself. I find myself giving advice like this to people that are in their early 20s working their asses off to succeed in college and I tell them: you don’t have to be perfect: you’re still going to be alright and get a good job and have people that love you in life. I sometimes wonder how my life might be different if someone told me that at that age. On the other hand, it makes for a great piece to feel the struggle that many of us go through because, yes, the feelings you’re feeling are universal - and we all like to feel like there’s someone else out there that’s going through what we’re going through. So my advice moving forward: feel it out. Write if you’re semi-compelled; don’t if you feel like it’s the last thing you want to do. Either way: it’ll work out the way it’s supposed to.
I you need a break from the newsletter, take a break from the newsletter. Unless it pays the bills, there is no reason you should feel obligated. Your readers will understand and be there when you get back. 🙂

Lyle, thank you for sharing....tap your chest with your chest( just above your breast bone) at least 7x to activate your hypothalamus.....I work with special needs kids in school and that is one of their calming tools I teach them....you have been through a lot and expressing yourself is the first step to moving on and healing....good for you....
You are so welcome..... First they take a drink of water followed by 5 deeps breaths before or after tap, as well... anytime my friend..... I use these techniques myself daily at work and at home...I always try things on me first before asking the students to do it....
It’s ok to take a break. Actually, I think breaks are necessary. I know you know this, but maybe you needed to hear this. We’ll be here when you get out of that tunnel. Be well!
God bless and strengthen you. You have a lot on your plate that’s for sure and it is only natural to have “down days”, we all do. I pray sweet Emily recovers soon

Whoa, this is super interesting advice. I can totally see how that would be calming. Thanks for the tip!
